We previously reported that footage of Michael Jackson rehearsing for his final tour could be turned into a movie. And now, THR has confirmed the news, adding that there are over 100 hours of hi-def material showing the singer performing his hits like "Thriller" and "Beat It." Other footage shows production meetings and auditions.
AEG Live, who organized the tour, owns the rights to the footage and could potentially also use it to create live albums and a pay-per-view TV special.
Part of the preparation also included the creation of 3D "mini-movies" involving "Thriller" and "Earth Song", which could also be incorporated into a film. The former is described as "nine minutes of 3D insanity" by AEG Live CEO Randy Phillips.
Phillips added that AEG Live is waiting for Jackson's estate to be settled to see who the company will be dealing with. But for now, AEG released a two-minute clip of the singer two days before his death. Watch it below.

I absolutely agree OLK. Chris Tucker would've been perfect for that role. Then they could make a sequel which is the Thriller music video turned zombie apocalypse.

This isn't really news. It was bound to happen at some point. I'm curious to see who they'll cast though.
@StrongR3tard - ahh... too long to get into, but he was never convicted. Watch ALL the details on these charges sometime. ALL the people in Michael's like that didn't need money (incl. child starts like Feldman and Caulkin) said they were never touched. The ONLY people that EVER said ANYTHING about MJ were either EX-employees (and if they're so righteous, and saw MJ 'going on on the boy'... why THEN didn't they call the cops), or poor family members (sometimes faking their kids illnesses) to get into Neverland into MJ's wallet. Also notice... when a warrant was out for MJ the cops would go onto the National News to announce it? Where it just J.Q. Public getting arrested, the cops wouldn't bother telling the world. Did MJ make a bad judgment call letting kids sleep in his bed... yes (admitting to it was worse... all the more reason to believe he's innocent), but he missed out on his childhood, had a very cowardly, abusive father, and had a lot of blood-thirsty gold-diggers around him as handlers. I don't think if ANY of us have been in EXACTLY that same situation... we're not in a position to judge, yes?
People love to build up their celebrities to 'STARS'... only to tear them down. Trump never gets MORE press than when he falls onto difficult times (late 80's and now). Oh, and claiming bankruptcy doesn't necessarily mean the person need to. It just gives Trump 90 days of his creditors off his back to bring in more cash from his casinos (he also did that in the late 80's). Things (as with MJ) are NOT always as they seem. He NEVER slept in an oxygen chamber (he tried it out as the inventor was looking for investors), nor did he want to buy the Elephant Man's bones. He PERSONALLY disputes/explained BOTH in a TV interview. But crap/shit shows like 'The Insider' (ugh!) seem to have forgotten those little details in the past couple of days. When he wouldn't talk to the press... they'd make stuff up. When he's dead... they tear him down. If you like his music... but it. If you don't... don't. I don't give a rat's ass about these people's private lives (like Freddie Mercury - musical genius). I only want to hear good music.
GD, this just won't go away. A shame really. If his life wasn't freaky enough already. I really don't want to see what Hollywood plans to do with it.
@Ranger...Agreed and Freddy Mercury was a god of music.

@StrongR3tard - again... paying out the $21 - 23 mil that MJ did was chump change to a guy staring down a $1 bil. contract from Sony. He was advised by some not to pay it out... he chose to. I don't know if you've been around much, but paying that out isn't the same as a guilty plea and/or conviction.
But yeah... kids in his bed. Not the best judgment call he could have made. But if he was the genuine kid (at any age) that others close to him claimed he was. It was innocent... it just looks bad (of course), and the 'mystery' about him (really... just his shyness) and his plastic surgery didn't help the arguments that he was on a level playing field. But still... end of the day... NO proof he EVER did ANYthing wrong.
Ranger...I got your back on this one. Some of you other people are quick to forget that this man revolutionized the music business. This man also has and will forever have a ridiculous amount of respect in the entertainment industry.
Thx. And people CHOOSE to forget (maybe they are jealous of his accomplishments... I've found most people to be jealous types) - there was NEVER ANY proof brought against this man that held up. He was NEVER convicted. I don't care much what people think, but it is sad what people choose to forget.
