Two years ago, "Borat" writer Dan Mazer announced that he is working on a new comedy about the Eurovision Song Contest. Now, it is being reported that Sacha Baron Cohen has signed on to join "Eurovision: The Movie," in which he will portray a singer who enters the competition.
A source said: "Mazer and Cohen thought it would be better if Sacha dreamt up another character, and the scope for another oddball creation is huge."
This annual TV songfest brings together pop acts from 42 countries to compete for its grand prize, with the winner decided by votes from national juries. Cheesy, kitsch and often inadvertently hilarious, it's one of Europe's most-watched TV events.
The new movie is expected to be another fake documentary in the style of "Bruno" and "Borat." The script has already been written and the film is expected to appear in theaters by 2011.

cant we see him in a regular film. I mean he is rumored to be Freddie in queen as well as a new court thriller drama thing. I do love his comedy. But i wanna see a different side of his acting...
