Cool, cool, I'm all for this film, no doubt, but the dude doing the work needs to take a remedial perspective course.

That looks sweet. About time we get to see a decent avengers poster. And nice butt shot of Scarlet Johanson.

Pretty neat. Certainly miles better than the one above, which has been the regular going poster at my local theater and, I think we can all agree, is just awful. I like how in the IMAX poster Iron Man, despite (RDJ) being the star of the show, is depicted furthest near the back, giving the limelight over to Hawkeye. Seems like a fairly balanced composition.
Oh, and I bet diamonds the artist had a hard-on the whole time when drawing ScarJo’s ass. Hell, I get a hard-on just typing "ScarJo’s ass".

I want a movie that stars Scarlett's ass jiggling for 2 hours.

Just saw this film an hour ago. It's pretty average, and the army-sequences are left until so far into the film that you almost entirely forget about them.
The big threat is also really diminished when there really is no threat to the members of the Avengers, who pretty much shrug off every enemy they face.
The highlights of the film are the one-on-one battles amongst the protagonists, as well as the verbal sparring.
The Avengers plays out like the Earth sequences in Thor meet Captain America, and sometimes it plays out like The Green Lantern.
Not sure how well 3D ticket sales will help the film against TDKR (probably a lot) in terms of revenue, but at this stage I have no doubt that TDKR will blow The Avengers out of the water in every other aspect.

And in case you're wondering how I saw it, I live in New Zealand; for us, the film was released yesterday (April 25th - or 24th if you're up north).

The fact that they decided to bulk up Captain America for the poster and didn't touch anyone else confirms for me that the on screen Cap is too skinny.

Caps suit makes him look slim but in the film without suit he still looks big, I thought Thor was no where near the same size as his origins film

Caps legs are no where near the same size as the poster. They obviously did that for a reason.
