As a way to promote the May 12th release of the latest "Ringu" sequel, called "Sadako 3D," the title character was asked to throw out the first pitch at a Japanese baseball game. An actress, portraying the ghost, took a couple of steps forward, pitched the ball, and then dropped face-down to the ground. Watch the video below to see the entire thing.
"Sadako 3D" takes place thirteen years after the original "Ring" movie. Akane is a high school teacher who hears a rumor from her students that there is actual footage on the Internet of someone's suicide. The footage is said to drive anyone who sees it to also commit suicide.
Akane does not believe the rumor at first, but when one of her female students dies after viewing the footage, she and her boyfriend Takanori are fatefully drawn into the horror that has been created by the man who appears in the suicide footage, Kashiwada.
I don't know about you guys but The most exciting thing about the avengers is that it's heroes that you already know in it together to fight a greater evil.
Seriously. If I hear that advert one more time...

I know I'm not the most knowledgeable when it comes to Japanese culture or anything... but I'm just blown away by the notion that Japan has their own baseball league.

Pretty funny promotional stunt. Amazing that Sadako was able to pitch the ball to homeplate. The wig looks like she had absolutely no vision.
The Ringu (and even The Ring w/ Naomi Watts) still creeped me out. Something about demonic possessed kids is very unsettling. I can't imagine how unnerving it might be to see a Sadako coming towards you in 3D. This sequel could work if done properly.
