Sylvester Stallone Working on "Rambo 5," Hints at Story

Sylvester Stallone Working on Rambo 5, Hints at StorySubmit Comment
Sylvester Stallone has been talking about making another "Rambo" movie since the fourth installment hit theaters back in 2008. At one point, the actor was considering making a prequel or having a film where he would pass the torch to the another actor. But now comes word that Stallone wants to play the character one more time and give the franchise a proper ending.

"It's one thing where you lay down the final culmination of your life where you can articulate it, but also act on it where he realizes what his destiny really is," said Stallone. "It's not to be a farmer, it's not to be obscure; it's to go out in a blaze of glory in a heroic fashion. But is he really doing it for himself or is he doing it because that's just his id? That's who he is."

Sounds like Rambo may not come out alive out of "Rambo 5." But is still he still going to Mexico for his last fight? "I like the whole Mexican situation, what's going on down there," Stallone confirmed. "So I'm working on a formula for it right now."

Sean Hood (Conan the Barbarian) recently revealed that he already finished the script for the new movie and that Stallone will begin work on it after he completes "The Expendables 2."

Rambo ended perfectly though.. Kill him off, no passing the torch crap. I'd rather see Stallone bulkier for this like the last Rambo and not have him shredded like in The Expendables.

Why the f*ck does he have to go to Mexico? If I had a gun to my face, and forced to choose what he'd do, I'd say write about Rambos relationship to his father/relatives. Yeah sure, you'd have a balls to the wall battle at the end with whatever villian you could concoct, but going to Mexico? f*ck that, I'd rather a knife to my rectum, thanks.

Story? He chops up people with a jeep-mounted 50-calibre gun. Story. Pffft.

A Vietnam prequel would be awesome.

Its called sarcasm Dirt. I'm a huge fan of Rambo in general, but this idea that Sly has concocted smells like sh*t. Should just stay with the Expendables

What the f*ck is wrong with Mexico? Sly's right, its a bloody f*cking mess down there. The cartels are hanging people from bridges, killing women and children, and choppin f*ckin heads off. Its Heaven for Rambo! Remember, "What you call Hell, he calls home" :)

I'd looove to see him f*ck Mexico up!!!

No, not another Rambo movie.

I think the last Rambo movie ended great and Stallone should leave the way the series is but if Stallone goes forward with Rambo 5, I hope Rambo doesn't get killed, he's a popular character and should finally find peace.

If Sly thinks he can make another Rambo to end all Rambo movies, then go for it!!!

I'd say to let Rambo stay in the US. The Mexican action movies have already be done (TRAFFIC, MAN ON FIRE).

He should be finish it off where it all began or in his hometown to bring him back to his roots, to bring him full circle.

And if he has to die off, for him to die off in America where it would fit with his disillusioned & hopeful speeches at the end of Rambo Part 1 & 2.

As a fan, that's where I would like to personally see his journey end. A world weary soldier giving his own life to right a wrong, maybe like in his own goverment, similar to Part 2.
