Michelle Rodriguez to Return for "Machete Kills" and "Fast and Furious 6"Posted: May 2nd, 2012 by WorstPreviews.com Staff
|
Michelle Rodriguez is officially set to reprise her roles in Robert Rodriguez's "Machete" sequel, called "Machete Kills," and the sixth installment in the "Fast and Furious" franchise.
"Machete Kills," which starts production this month in Texas, finds the titular ex-federale (Danny Trejo) recruited by the US government to stop a terrorist named Mendez the Madman, who happens to be Mexico's leading cartel dealer.
Mel Gibson is set to co-star as Luther Voz, a cunning arms dealer and death merchant who aims to spread war across the planet by launching a missile. Jessica Alba is also expected to return.
Rodriguez's return to the "Fast and Furious" franchise was teased in a post-credits scene at the end of "Fast Five," and the sequel is set to start production in June in Europe.

in a fantasy movie world, you steal tons of money, race awesome cars, travel the world, and don't get caught by the cops even after 10 yrs

Great news that Michelle Rodriguez is returning for Fast and Furious 6 since the post-credits scene hinted her returning.
Letty is a great character.
I hope Leon retruns since Johnny Strong who played Leon made his first movie in 11 years.
It's called Saints and Sinners, it got good reviews becuase of low budget action and the amazing cast:
Kevin Phillips
Costas Mandylor
Sean Patrick Flanery
Bas Rutten
Method Man
Kim Coates
Tom Berenger

@Quidd - Tokyo Drift takes place after all of these movies. 4, 5, 6 all take place before the 3rd.

Let's see how MACHETE KILLS fares...Gibson should be elevating it more than De Niro in part 1. I'll be waiting for the trailer...
Speaking of Gibson, the review for GET THE GRINGO just got out and the buzz has all been great getting a 9/10 from *cough*Joblo*cough* describing as..
"Leave it to Mel Gibson..to show Hollywood how to crank out a really effective, tight, R-rated actioner that puts right all of the things that are wrong with many modern American action films."
"Yeah- this ain't no PG-13 folks. Gibson earns a hard R with this one, with the carnage almost reaching APOCALYPTO levels- especially in a lengthy prison shoot-out, that ramps up the violence to a true 'holy sh*t' level."
"GET THE GRINGO manages to put over a real gritty vibe, that's about as outside the mainstream as you can get. It all adds up to a very bad-ass package- with the incredible final half-hour being a real standout, complete with more honest tension than I've gotten out of an action film for years."
I'm sold..CHECK!!
Shame about the release, though.
