Back in 2009, "Chuck" star Zachary Levi was in talks to play Fandral in "Thor," but had to turn it down due to a scheduling conflict. Stuart Townsend was then cast to play the character, but left the production over creative differences.
The role eventually went to Joshua Dallas, but the actor is not able to return for the sequel due to his commitment to ABC's "Once Upon a Time." So Marvel has decided to offer the role to Levi again and the two parties are now in negotiations.
The plan is to start filming in July and have the film ready to be released on November 15th, 2013.
