Spider-Man in "The Avengers" Sequel May Actually HappenPosted: June 10th, 2012 by WorstPreviews.com Staff
|
After the success of "The Avengers," it became clear that it was a smart strategy to give superheroes their own movies before teaming them up in a big-budget action film. But now that it's been done, what about teaming superheroes that are owned by different studios?
This came up about a year ago when a rumor circulated online that Spider-Man will appear in "The Avengers." Producers of the film quickly denied the rumor, mostly because Spider-Man is owned by Sony (film rights) and is off-limits to Disney/Marvel.
Even though the rumor was squashed, many were still talking about the possibility of this happening. And now, "The Amazing Spider-Man" producer Avi Arad is having second thoughts and is considering making this a reality.
"Everything is possible. If something like that happens, it's great for Disney, it's great for Sony, if the right story comes in," he said. "The way to make team-up movies work is to create the raw materials, both technically and creatively, in other movies first. Otherwise it's not affordable."
Arad added that Sony's plan right now is to make a "Venom" movie and then find a way to get the character into "The Amazing Spider-Man" franchise.

No sh*t, WorstPreviews.
Anyway, Marvel certainly has their sh*t together, no doubt, and I say this as someone who couldn't give a damn about Marvel, DC, or comic books in general.

MINK that explains a lot
Hes makin himself out to be some fanboy comic expert when hes just a name on a letterhead
People that give themselves more credit than they deserve makes my taint tingle and not in a good way
Hes not worried about the bottom line when hes crankin out dinozoids or robotomorphs like a sewage pump

On a separate note, the guy looks like and has a name of a character from a Guy Ritchie movie.
And you know you can't trust those f*ckers.
