Lindsay Lohan cannot stay out of trouble. She recently lied to police after crashing her Porsche into the back of an 18-wheeler truck, claiming that she wasn't the one driving. Now she faces jail time for lying and violating her probation.
Meanwhile, she is still working on Lifetime's "Liz and Dick," and has now signed on to star in "The Canyons," a sexual thriller written by author Bret Easton Ellis (Less Than Zero, American Psycho) and directed by Paul Schrader (Auto Focus).
"Canyons" follows sex and crime among a group of twentysomethings in Los Angeles. Porn star James Deen (Batman XXX: A Porn Parody), who has starred in nearly 1,000 adult films, is playing a manipulative trust-fund kid with dreams of making a movie. Lohan will play his girlfriend, addicted to a materialist lifestyle.
The movie raised a portion of its money on KickStarter and will begin shooting next month in Los Angeles.
