The trailer for Ang Lee's "Life of Pi" is playing in front of 3D screenings of "Prometheus." And while it has yet to be released online, we now have a ten-second clip from the movie, in addition to a few banners. Check out everything below.
The story revolves around Pi Patel, the teenaged son of a zookeeper. He and his family board a ship headed toward North America, but a wreck leaves Pi stranded in a lifeboat with a hyena, an orangutan, a zebra, and a 450-pound Bengal tiger named Richard Parker.
Pi is played by newcomer Suraj Sharma, who beat out three thousand actors for the role. He's joined by Irrfan Khan as the grown-up Pi, Adil Hussain and Tabu as Pi's parents, Gerard Depardieu as "The Chef" and Tobey Maguire as Yann Martel. It's set to hit theaters on December 21st.

Oh, and Pi is infinite, a transcendental number, so I guess this movie goes on forever, just like Hulk goes on forever in my nightmares.

Ang Lee's involvement aside (I don't have a problem with him, for the record), I am really, really excited for this. The book was incredible and the trailer in front of Prometheus was beautiful. I still wonder how M. Knight Shamalamadingdong's version would have come out. Pity he peaked and crashed before he could get production on this started.

That tiger looks pretty sh*t hot. We're getting nearer to perfection with the FX on animals we just need to get there with people. Tron Legacy showed we've still got a long way to go.

Do they find a fat tiger and an empty boat at the end of the film?
