Disney Steps Up Efforts to Bring Marvel Characters to Disneyland

Disney Steps Up Efforts to Bring Marvel Characters to DisneylandSubmit Comment
Before "The Avengers" became a massive success, Disney was looking for ways to bring some of the Marvel characters to its theme parks. And now comes word that the company has stepped up its efforts.

"We were hard at work on attractions using Marvel characters previously, and that work has only intensified given [the film's] great success," said Disney, adding that the focus is on Hulk, Thor, Iron Man and Captain America. "The setting has to be right, the story has to be right. That takes a fair amount of time."

"Cars Land" just opened at Disney's California Adventure, and that took six years to happen. One can only expect that a similar amount of time will be needed for "The Avengers" rides. But if it does one day happen, the rides will only be added to Disneyland, since Marvel has an agreement with Universal theme parks.

You're missing the word 'bring'. But who cares.

Anyway, can't wait for the Disney animated film where classic cartoon characters like Mickey play iconic Marvel characters, e.g., Goofy as Hawkeye and Donald Duck as Bruce Banner.

The man who hated the Jews invented a company that now emulates them to the highest order.

Irony, or just sad?

Mink, the funny thing is that could actually work if done right. Straight to DVD/Blu-Ray of course, but it'll still make money. Lol

Yep, this one has gold written all over it. Disney characters playing Marvel Heroes crossover possibilities are endless. Just look at what DisneyWorld Orlando does annually with its popular Star Wars Weekends...Donald Duck as Darth Maul vs Jedi Mickey!

It took 6 years to bring 'Car Land' on line.

Yet in WWII they could re-design a Sherman tank and start shipping the latest model in 9 months.

Thank God Disneyland wasn't the Supreme Allied Commander in WWII is all I have to say!

'...in WWII they could re-design a Sherman tank' --- ahh, the military I meant, not Disney.

Just thought I'd, ahh... throw in that for clarity.
