We recently reported that "Raging Bull 2" started filming. And today we have the first photos from the movie, which is both a prequel and a sequel, since it takes place before and after Martin Scorsese's original. Judging by the photos, the new film will not be black and white. Check them out below.
William Forsythe stars as an older Jake La Motta, the character Robert De Niro played in the original film. Newcomer Mojean Aria is the younger La Motta. The film co-stars Joe Mantegna, Tom Sizemore, Penelope Ann Miller, Natasha Henstridge, and Bill Bellamy. Scorsese and De Niro are not involved with the movie.
"Raging Bull 2" provides insight into the real-life struggle of La Motta, who turns his anger, abusive childhood into a boxing career. Although his brute force turned him into a middleweight champion, it also created challenges in his life.
