Poster for "Paddington Bear" MoviePosted: June 23rd, 2012 by WorstPreviews.com Staff
|
While Universal Pictures is planning to soon release "Ted," a movie about a dirty teddy bear, Warner Bros is hard at work on a movie about another bear, a more polite one, named "Paddington." And today, we have the first poster for the film. Check it out below.
The project was originally announced back in 2007, when it was revealed that "Harry Potter" producer David Heyman was on board. Hamish McColl (Mr. Bean's Holiday) was writing the screenplay for "Paddington," which is a CGI/live-action movie based on Michael Bond's series of books for young children. Paul King (The Mighty Boosh) is directing.
Paddington has journeyed from Darkest Peru, wearing a duffle coat, hat and Wellington boots, carrying a suitcase containing an empty jar of marmalade and wearing a label around his neck that reads "Please look after this bear, thank you." His arrival in the household of the Brown family leads to comic mishaps and misadventures for the well-meaning but accident-prone young bear.

Loved this show as a kid.
For all the great movies and tv shows Michael Hordern made he will always be Paddington Bear.

Cute movie, methinks, but I smell another franchise exploitation in response to Harry Potter's demise.

"Gay as f*ck it Will be"
It's for kids, Bando, so let's both hope it's not gay as f*ck, then, ok, because kids' have enough problems with sexual exploitation already.
Ain't that right, Plastic?

Nice to see a teddy bear story not trademarked and copywrited by Disney "We own your childhood" Corporation.
So if Paddington was a young lesbian and the teddy was a male 'companion' used to make her look straight, I'd guess they'd call it "Paddington's Beard"

Jeez, it's been a while since I though this but Mink is right on the money on this. Have a feeling I will be in the cinema watching this (I do have my own kids and wont be stealing some to watch this, unlike plastic)

I'm going to print out this poster, take it to Staples for laminating, then shoot my load all over it.
Because... that's how I roll.

Plastic can't come to the phone right now. He's taking it up the Hershey highway from his daughter's strap-on.
