Andy Lau Drops Out of "Iron Man 3," Who Will Replace Him?Posted: June 23rd, 2012 by WorstPreviews.com Staff
|
We recently reported that Andy Lau (Infernal Affairs) was in final negotiations to join the cast of "Iron Man 3." But now comes word that the actor has dropped out due to the birth of his first child with wife Carol Chu on May 9th.
Oriental Morning Post reached out to the producers of the film who confirmed the news. The goal now is to replace Lau with a Chinese actor, who is over the age of forty with strong English skills. The frontrunners are Chen Daoming (Hero) and Wu Xiubo.
Lau was in talks to play an old friend of Stark. The character is rumored to be a representation of China's technology sector who will use China's armored heroes to help Iron Man defeat The Mandarin, who is seen as a terrorist against both the US and China.

So he bailed because his wife had a kid? Didn't he know the kid was coming during contract negotiations, or that his wife would rag on him to stay at home to change diapers instead of doing a movie for easy cash?!
Get Jeff Speakman, and use a lot of eye-liner.
Or get Erin Moran, I read she's doing f*ck-all, except making her neutered hubby pull double duty at Walmart, while she flashes her mud flaps for beer money (f*cking bitch).

I'm just surprised... he knew he had a kid on the way, yet still proceeded to negotiate for a role in this film. Was he hoping the kid would be still-born, and he'd have it shellacked only to be the replacement hood ornament on the Rolls Royce he'd have bought?
Wow... that's pretty grim, even for me!
