Warner Bros has been planning to put Batman and Superman in the same movie for a while. But now comes word that audiences won't have to wait until "Justice League of America," because the two superheroes will be character in Warners' "Lego" film.
Phil Lord and Christopher Miller (Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs) are directing "Lego: The Piece of Resistance," which is a hybrid of live-action and Lego-based animation. Will Arnett will voice the role of Lego Batman, while Channing Tatum is in talks to voice Lego Superman.
Chris Pratt ("Parks and Recreation") will play Emmet, an ordinary, law-abiding, Lego mini-figure who is mistaken for the most extraordinary MasterBuilder. He's drafted into a fellowship of strangers on a quest to stop an evil tyrant from gluing the universe together.
"Lego: The Piece of Resistance" will hit theaters on February 28th, 2014.

It was only a matter of time before a Lego movie came out. The product is ever expanding its realm with every movie character conceivable. Although this feels like a very wimpy method for Warner/DC execs to allow the characters of Batman and Superman to share same screentime. I wish someone in Hollywood would grow some f*cking balls and make a live action Worlds Finest movie. That should test the waters for a potential JLA movie.
