On August 10th, the fourth Jason Bourne movie, called "The Bourne Legacy," will hit theaters. But while it'll contain a lot of familiar characters and settings, the new movie will not actually feature Jason Bourne (Matt Damon). Instead, it will focus on a new character played by Jeremy Renner.
In an interview with Empire magazine, producer Frank Marshall revealed that there may be an opportunity to bring Renner and Damon back for "The Bourne Legacy" sequel. "You see, there are several different programs in the movie with different skill sets," he explained. "All possibilities are open. My dream is that in the next one we see Matt and Jeremy team up."
In the same issue, Renner spoke about his character, stating: "He's coming from a completely different background to Jason [Bourne]. He knows exactly who he is; he signed up to this. He wants to be part of a team. I can tell you he was in the military, then he joined the program. He's a person who wants to be part of something, to have a sense of purpose. But then it's taken away."

Yeah, ok, but I'm, still miffed they called it The Bourne Legacy without any Bourne, and the fact the trailer mentions Bourne, even shows his face, some thirty times leads me to believe they're fully aware they're selling a lie, and that irritates me.
A Renner-Damon team-up would be pretty cool, though, and Renner comes cheap. This'll be the test. If TBL flops, no more Renner-Bourne, and if Damon doesn't return another film, no more Bourne period.

A team up will probably not occur soon. There's some bad blood with Damon & Gilroy/ Universal.
Damon is pissed how Universal treated GREEN ZONE & had voiced he would not want to do another Bourne unless Greengrass directed.
Then Damon got pissed since he learned of the reboot/ sequel by others & got offended how Tony Gilroy (previous screenwriter for Bourne movies, now director) had not notified him or of the direction he was taking, even after having a previous working relationship with him.
So don't hold your breath on that one. They're just creating a buzz for the movie & maybe possibly putting Damon on the stop.
