|
Lionsgate has unveiled a motion poster for the upcoming "Judge Dredd" remake, called "Dredd," starring Karl Urban as the title hero. Check it out below.
Plot: "Dredd" takes us to the wild streets of Mega City One, the lone oasis of quasi-civilization on Cursed Earth. Judge Dredd (Urban) is the most feared of elite Street Judges, with the power to enforce the law, sentence offenders and execute them on the spot – if necessary.
"Dredd" is directed by Peter Travis (Vantage Point) from a script by Alex Garland (28 Days Later). It is set to hit conventional and 3D theaters on September 21st.

Yeah, so this whole Dredd thing is going to suck ass. I think everyone knows it will, they just refuse to believe it because most of the Dredd fans have secret dreams of getting raped and murdered by the Judge and his big black gun.

^Yeah, but you watch the hell out of some WWE, so I don't think you're a fair judge of what sucks and what doesn't.

Well, it would be king of the douche bags, the latter with a space, and it's spelled you're, as in, you are, but you guys get that wrong every day. Almost a troll thing, like a smell. You know if they, as in you, misspell you're, they're probably just a jack off d*ck-beating troll, and so, here you are.
Hold on a sec while I check your age, rectum-raper.

Damn. 26. Not 22. I guess you're one of the late blooming trolls.

We should try to make that happen.

Those stupid looking robo puppets in the sly version were cool to watch sucking but this ref*ck Dredd looks like total sh*t and like it had a budget of no million. When the best you can show is semi-souped-up scooters riding with minivans and the best plot device is slo-mo with fail Sara Connor then you have a lot of issues, and the movie ain't even out yet.

ECONOLINE minvans. Because nothing says 'the future' like an Econoline from 1981.
And don't give me that 'fixing it in post-production bullsh*t' either because Lockout did the same thing. Supposedly set in the year 2079, Pearce had a phone from 2008 and was dodging long-nosed Peterbuilt trucks from 1991.

When this one tanks, they can at least not pin the blame on Rob Schneider ....
If a movie has Rob Schneider, a movie critic gets cancer and either dies or has his jaw rot off.

At least Karl has the opportune fortune of being able to keep his helmet on, while this rubberneckin' accident happens.

@mink
So they use archaic vehicles and communication devices ?
Wow. That saves me from renting it from Redbox or Netflix .... I mean, other than the fact that the story is a piece of substandard, 70's style sh*t that isn't worth my time and in no way is even close to being as good as the story it ripped off ... Escape from New York.

Yeah, Lockout had some good moments, and Maggie Grace is nice to watch, and Pearce does the baddass thing pretty well, but overall, it was only marginally better than District 13.

Waaaahhhh I'm Minkowski and I act like I'm better than you even though I know I'm not and I mask my "Macho movie comments" to hide my loneliness and relationship with my blow up doll with a huge mouth who I nicknamed "Nikki". I hope you choke on a million d*cks!! You are such a piece of f*cking sh*t!!!!
