How about using Venom he's a fan favourite and he's not been used before, Yes I have seen spider-man 3 and that is not venom! Who ever suggested gopher grace should be shot and frankly when Sam raimi dies he should spend eternity having to watch spider-man 3 on repeat!
Off topic here but I watched the dark knight again earlier today and was wondering does anyone else find the switching to and from IMAX distracting? After about 1000 viewings I still hate the cgi for two face and think Aaron Eckhart has to be one of the worst casting decisions ever and I've seen spider-man 3!

it shows a good start, but webb's still gotta learn his trades in staging fight scenes. Raimi beats him by a million mile. the spidey-lizard fights remind me of nolan's bat fight scenes in Batman Begins. they're unclear and just not good.
i do have to admit though the peter-gwen's scenes are just as great as expected from the director of 500 days of summer.
bottom line, if this is gonna be a trilogy, it shows promise for good things to come..hopefully, even better things.
