Wow... Ernie and Karl Malden were 2 special actors. Never go by on their looks (which today is a main prerequisite for Hollywood)... but look what those 2 contributed in their lives.

Looking at Ernest's movies on IMDB the guy has been in upwards of at least 20 films and TV shows that i love.
Not many of these guys that bridge the hollywood of old and new left now.

This guy was a proper actor.A mans man not like
some of these prima donas today that are in the movie business like shia labeouf or ryan reynolds
