Entertainment Tonight visited the set of Sam Raimi's "Oz The Great and Powerful" and sat down with stars James Franco and Mila Kunis to discuss this "Wizard of Oz" prequel. The trailer is set to appear online on Thursday.
Plot: When Oscar Diggs (Franco), a small-time circus magician with dubious ethics, is hurled away from dusty Kansas to the vibrant Land of Oz, he thinks he's hit the jackpot-fame and fortune are his for the taking-that is until he meets three witches, Theodora (Kunis), Evanora (Rachel Weisz) and Glinda (Michelle Williams), who are not convinced he is the great wizard everyone's been expecting.
Reluctantly drawn into the epic problems facing the Land of Oz and its inhabitants, Oscar must find out who is good and who is evil before it is too late. Putting his magical arts to use through illusion, ingenuity-and even a bit of wizardry-Oscar transforms himself not only into the great and powerful Wizard of Oz but into a better man as well.

not gonna complain, well yea i am lol...not gonna rip on this particularly, but i have some compelling points...first, the original wizard of oz, dorothy turned out to be dreaming...second, the movie making magic back then compared to now, far more creative than cgi has been in over decades...and three, i guess when a really brilliantly cleverly well thought out and executed movie is made by some genius[s] we know about it when it presents itself right?...and i'm talking about films that you get super excited to see and you get this adrenaline rush because it actually meets your expectations and takes it farther than you thought it would...i wanna feel that again but hollywood these days

^ when i said dorothy turned out to be dreaming, i meant this story is almost as useless as the character was in the original film...i mean the good witch was more of a wizard...or maybe i'm just dumb but i still think a lot of ideas are still waiting in a few good minds
