Producer Confirms "Voltron" is in DevelopmentPosted: July 17th, 2012 by WorstPreviews.com Staff
|
The last time we heard about a big screen "Voltron" film was a year ago when Relativity Media announced that it acquired rights to the property and hired Thomas Dean Donnelly (Conan the Barbarian) and Joshua Oppenheimer (Sahara) to write the script.
Now, during the San Diego Comic-Con, producer Robert Kopla gave an update, confirming that the film is still on track. "It's currently in development with Relativity Media. Josh Oppenheimer and Thomas Donnelly are working on the script and they have some cool ideas," he said. "It's going to be a big action adventure flick and we're really excited about it. We have some talented producers on it."
In "Voltron," five young warriors are responsible for the future of the galaxy when they become pilots of ultra-high-tech Robot Lions, powerful vessels with the ability to join together to form a fearsome mega-weapon known as "Voltron."

Idiots!!! You had your chance before.. Why not make a Voltes V movie? That would be awesome!!! Voltron doesn't have a good story. Voltes V has a great story.

"We have some talented producers on it."
No talented director, no talented storywriter or scriptwriter, but 'some talented producers'.
This should be the first clue this film is in trouble already.

Tack, those were my very first thoughts. I have always wonder if Michael Bay knows just how god awful he is or if the sound of money fixes that.
Keep it simple. Don't try some random story twist to it and it should be watchable.
