Jessica Biel was recently offered the role of Victoria/Viper in the upcoming "Wolverine" sequel. The actress ended up turning down the part, leaving 20th Century Fox with just a few weeks to find a replacement before filming begins.
TwithFilm has now learned that "Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy" actress Svetlana Khodchenkova is in negotiations to take the role of Viper, who is mostly a foe to the "X-Men" and "The Avengers." Her connection to Wolverine is that she tried to murder his fiance Mariko Yashida. She then eventually blackmailed Wolverine into marrying her so that she could control a criminal organization.
"Wolverine 2" finds Logan (Hugh Jackman), the eternal warrior and outsider, in Japan. There, samurai steel clashes with adamantium claws as Logan confronts a mysterious figure from his past in an epic battle that will leave him forever changed. "Wolverine" is slated to hit theaters on July 26th, 2013.
