It was recently reported that Breck Eisner (The Crazies, Sahara) was in talks to direct the upcoming live-action "Stretch Armstrong" movie, based on the Hasbro toy. And now, Relativity Media has confirmed that Eisner has signed the contract and is officially on board.
This original story will be a gritty action movie introducing the character of Lucas Armstrong and the life-or-death consequences he will face after undergoing a transformation granting him superhuman abilities. The script is written by Dean Georgaris (Tom Raider: The Cradle of Life, The Manchurian Candidate).
"This is a fantastic opportunity to create a world that is both fresh and exhilarating," said Eisner. "What really excites me is the chance to build a hero from the ground up."
"Twilight" star Taylor Lautner is rumored to play the lead role. "Stretch Armstrong" is set to hit theaters on April 11th, 2014.

No, it will not be a gritty action movie. Why? Because it's f*cking Stretch Armstrong!!!
And when will Hollywood understand that Lautner is box-office poison outside the girl-demograph. Guys will not pay to see him in an action movie. They just won't. And can't act for sh*t either. At least Pattinson dare to do different stuff, but the judges are still out on him. I haven't heard anything about Cosmopolis yet.
