Director Danny Boyle (127 Hours, Slumdog Millionaire, 28 Days Later) is in charge of the opening ceremony for the 2012 London Olympics. And in an attempt to top the Beijing Games, he's planning some wacky stuff.
SPOILERS AHEAD:
According to the Times of London, Friday's opening ceremony will have about one hundred children wheeled out on hospital beds to perform a "choreographed bed dance." In addition to the massive amount of normal beds, there will also be a dozen giant ones, which will contain dancing storybook characters like the villainous Cruella De Vil.
Then a 40-foot Voldemort will arrive, while dozens of Dementors will stream into the arena from all directions to scare the children. At that point, a large number of Mary Poppins will enter from above, via umbrella, and defeat all the villains.
