During the last couple of years, Billy Bob Thornton has been talking about developing a sequel to "Bad Santa." Back in February he said that the plan was to write two different scripts and then begin shooting one this fall for a Christmas 2013 release.
Now comes word that things are moving forward. Deadline has learned that Steve Pink (Hot Tub Time Machine, "The Office") is in early talks to re-write and direct "Bad Santa 2." Johnny Rosenthal wrote the previous draft of the script.
If things go well, Thornton already has plans for a third "Bad Santa" movie. He previously said that one of the two scripts that will not be used, will be saved for "Bad Santa 3."
