Today we have the first set photo of Matt Damon and Michael Douglas from the upcoming Liberace biopic, called "Behind the Candelabra," that co-stars Rob Lowe, Dan Aykroyd, Scott Bakula, and Cheyenne Jackson. The photo is from a scene in which Liberace (Douglass) and Scott Thorson (Damon) are shopping for a car. Check it out below.
The new movie follows Liberace's relationship with Thorson that started in 1977 when the famous pianist was 57 and Thorson was just 18. Thorson became his companion, assistant and driver, and despite Liberace's public denials, the duo were also lovers. Liberace eventually died of AIDS in 1987.
"Behind the Candelabra" is directed by Steven Soderbergh from a script by Richard LaGravenese (Water for Elephants). It's set to hit theaters sometime next year.
