Inferno Entertainment and director Kyle Newman are developing "Chewie," which centers around Peter Mayhew, the 7'3 tall actor who played the Wookiee in the "Star Wars" movies. The script landed on the Black List, which is a list of the best unproduced screenplays in Hollywood.
"Chewie" takes place during the making of 1977's "Star Wars" and tracks Mayhew as he tries to balance a career as a hospital worker while chasing Hollywood dreams by playing a suited alien who would go on to become one of the most iconic screen sidekicks in modern times.
Newman, who directed the "Star Wars"-themed comedy "Fanboys," secured Mayhew’s life rights in order to further develop the script, which was written initially by Evan Susser and Van Robichaux.

Wow. One the best unproduced screenplays is one concerning the life and times of the frightening mongoloid who's only claim to fame is walking around in a shaggy Burmese rug.
Are there no other people worthy of a bio-pic? Is there anyone else, other than the fag who invented kitsch computer appliances or the fag who developed and 'socialized' internet narcissism?
To me this stinks of cashing in, of milking the fringe of Star Wars fanboyism, and from here, it reeks worse than Mayhew's nutsack on a hot summer day back in 1976.
