Today we have a brand new TV spot for "The Expendables 2," featuring new footage from the movie, which stars Sylvester Stallone, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Bruce Willis, Jason Statham, Jean-Claude Van Damme, Chuck Norris, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, Terry Crews, Randy Couture, Liam Hemsworth, and Yu Nan. Plot: The Expendables are back and this time it’s personal... Barney Ross (Stallone), Lee Christmas (Statham), Yin Yang (Li), Gunner Jensen (Lundgren), Toll Road (Couture) and Hale Caesar (Crews) -- with newest members Billy the Kid (Hemsworth) and Maggie (Nan) aboard -- are reunited when Mr. Church (Willis) enlists the Expendables to take on a seemingly simple job.
The task looks like an easy paycheck for Barney and his band of old-school mercenaries. But when things go wrong and one of their own is viciously killed, the Expendables are compelled to seek revenge in hostile territory where the odds are stacked against them. Hell-bent on payback, the crew cuts a swath of destruction through opposing forces, wreaking havoc and shutting down an unexpected threat in the nick of time — five tons of weapons-grade plutonium, far more than enough to change the balance of power in the world. But that's nothing compared to the justice they serve against the villainous adversary who savagely murdered their brother.
The new movie is directed by Simon West (Con Air) and is set to hit theaters on August 17th.

In Expendables 3, Rourke will want to eat again, so they'll have to ret-con his character's death by having him not-dead and instead in a POW camp, or something equally ludicrous, and so the gang will go free him, yadda yadda yadda, making the second film, this film, pretty much expendable...
