We've been talking about an "Idiocracy" spin-off ever since the original film hit theaters in 2006. Due to several lawsuits, 20th Century Fox gave the comedy a very limited release before dumping it on DVD. But the movie became a fan favorite, with many requesting a spin-off focusing on President Camacho, played by Terry Crews.
Now, while promoting "The Expendables 2," Crews revealed that he's had talks with Fox and director Mike Judge. "We literally met with Fox a week ago," he confirmed. "We're going to see what it becomes, but we got approval from Fox to do some stuff. We’re going to start off on the internet and do some [short films] with Camacho."
The plan is to figure out whether the franchise still has fans out there. "We've just got to gauge the interest and Fox wants to start slow," said Crews. "You've got to let it take off."

I actually buy Crews more as a comedy character actor than an "action star".
The guy was the funniest actor/ character in WHITE CHICKS!! You could tell the Wayan Bros. were trying hard to be funny when Crew's comedic charisma came naturally...
As for IDIOCRACY 2...meh.
