The "Amityville Horror" house hasn't had anything happen there for decades. In fact, it doesn't even have the same address anymore or the same exterior. But the house continues to be the subject matter of countless films.
There have been a total of ten movies since 1979's "The Amityville Horror." And now comes word that producer Tony DeRosa-Grund has acquired rights to a video taped seance that was held in the house on March 6th, 1976. The tape, which was thought to be lost, apparently shows ghostly presences, including that of a young boy.
The plan is to make a found-footage movie about a TV reporter's experiences investigating the Amityville house and the discoveries that are uncovered about what happened there. "This will be the first time ever that the true prequel to the Amityville horror will be told," said DeRosa-Grund.
