Late last year, we reported that Jose Angel Santana filed a lawsuit against NYU, claiming that he was fired for giving James Franco a low grade, despite the fact that the actor missed 12 out of 14 classes. The lawsuit also states that other professors, like Jay Anania, favored Franco in order to be hired by him to write and direct "The Letter" film.
Today, we have the trailer for "Letter," which not only stars Franco, but also Winona Ryder. Lionsgate has already picked up the film for distribution, but a release date has yet to be set. It's likely that a theatrical release will be skipped in favor of an On Demand one. Check out the trailer below.
Plot: Martine Jamison (Ryder) is a NY theatre director beginning rehearsals for a new play starring her boyfriend Raymond (Josh Hamilton) opposite a young beauty. They are joined by an unknown newcomer, Tyrone (Franco), who develops a peculiar fascination with Martine and is openly hostile to all others. As rehearsals continue, Martine has periods of disorientation that quickly deteriorate into vivid hallucinations as she becomes convinced someone is trying to poison her. As Martine's mental state devolves she begins to rewrite her play... and art and life become inseparable.

Nothing new about that. Most rich motherf*ckers don't do a lick of school work and still pass. I mean didn't George Bush graduate Harvard or some sh*t?
Anyway, hate em or love em Franco is always involved in some amusing sh*t on and off screen. Like the time he literally sold invisible art, I kid you not.

Really? A Oscar nominated, filthy rich guy that has worked with brightest in Hollywood would just whore himself out just to make a movie to get a passing grade?
There's more to the story. I detect a hint of bullsh!t...

"I mean didn't George Bush graduate Harvard or some sh*t?"
Uh, no, he actually achieved his MBA from Harvard, the first and so far the only President to do so.
As for the news, class participation is sometimes not even necessary if you can pass the final exam, which is sometimes the entire grade.
Close enough. If a coked up alcoholic half retarded privileged son of a president can do that it shouldn't be a surprise if an actor passes a few classes without deserving it.

Um, well, his father wasn't President at the time, Avirex, and in fact, Gore by way of comparison, had more nepotistic college advantages.
