Former "Brave" Director Says Pixar is SexistPosted: August 16th, 2012 by WorstPreviews.com Staff
|
Back when Pixar first announced "Brave," it was revealed that Brenda Chapman would be directing, making her the first female helmer to tackle a Pixar film. But soon after, Chapman was off the project and Mark Andrews was hired as her replacement.
Chapman now opened up to The New York Times about what happened, blaming everything on sexism. "When Pixar took me off of Brave -- a story that came from my heart, inspired by my relationship with my daughter -- it was devastating," she said. "To have [my story] taken away and given to someone else, and a man at that, was truly distressing on so many levels."
She went on to say that the industry has always leaned in favor of male filmmakers, stating: "Sometimes women express an idea and are shot down, only to have a man express essentially the same idea and have it broadly embraced."
Question: Directors are replaced all the time in Hollywood. Is it possible that she wasn't the right person for the job? Or do you believe she was fired for being a woman?

If this was the case, then yes it is sexist. However, that relies on it being the truth.

To be honest, She was fired because she is a fat and ugly woman.

Its a conspiracy jumbo-tron. Chill out, get over it and have another Twinky. Maybe you can write a Pixar story about a fat distressed character so everyone will know it is about you. By the way, that dude who expressed the same idea to Pixar probably has a man-gina. Or maybe he f*cked one of your thinner girlfriends whom you blabbed this story to.

instead of being sexist, why isn't hollywood mentioned as being white washed. people only say it when it comes to casting actors like the last airbender. but you see so many people who work in the industry who are white and does not contain much diversity. ok, going back to the pixar story. i know someone who used to work for pixar and she said the working conditions suck. not cuz of her gender but just in general. as for the sexist story, i might not be surprised but this doesn't sound sexist enough. i need more info on this.

Who cares? The movie is done and gone. Even you're trying you best to protest and intimidate anyone in the business, it doesn't matter, because in the end this one like Cars will go down as the worst ever productions that Pixar has ever offer.

"Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence."
Fortunately for her then, boy wonder, there's nothing 'extraordinary' about the claim. If she had said she had been abducted by Pixar aliens and impregnated with Nemo's baby, that would be an extraordinary claim.
Anyway, women say this all the time, and blacks cry racism, whites cry quotas, wah wah wah. f*ck off bitch. They took you out the game. Maybe it's because you bleed for a week without dying, maybe not. Live with it.

Your story sucked.
Btw, did you know 40% of cases involving women, they tried less than men? Two almost identical ponzi schemes happened in around the same years, in the states. The man was given 15 years; the female got 3, the minimal for a ponzi scheme.
