We're still two years away from seeing Marvel's "Guardians of the Galaxy" on the big screen. There's plenty of time for the studio to write the script and get the film into development, but according to two industry websites (Production Weekly, On The Grid), there's already a plot synopsis.
Plot: About a US pilot who ends up in space in the middle of a universal conflict and goes on the run with futuristic ex-cons who have something everyone wants.
The pilot is likely Peter Quill (AKA Star-Lord) and the futuristic ex-cons are likely the guardians, including Drax the Destroyer, a human resurrected as a green warrior with the sole purpose of killing Thanos (the villain in "The Avengers" post-credits scene); Groot, a giant tree-man; Rocket Raccoon, a genetically engineered animal with a knack for guns and explosives; and Gamora, the last survivor of her species who was saved by Thanos to be his assassin but now battles him.

*sigh*. You people have obviously no issue with a giant green man who looks like the guy on your canned beans, and you have no issue with talking CGI fish, or even an intelligent ape that somehow conquers the world, but a f*cking rodent with enhanced IQ just blows your mind?
Besides, this was done in literature a while back, IIRC. A race of intelligent, mathematical squirrels or something, though Ifail to see how you can make much of a brain that's no larger than a nickel's diameter.
Then again, Dark somehow manages to use a keyboard...
