Director Paul Thomas Anderson (There Will Be Blood, Punch-Drunk Love, Magnolia, Boogie Nights) is planning to screen his new movie "The Master" tonight (August 16th) at the Music Box Theatre in Chicago to benefit The Film Foundation. To promote the event, a new trailer has been released. Check it out below.
Plot: The film is set in America in the years following World War II. A charismatic intellectual (Philip Seymour Hoffman) launches a faith-based organization and taps a young drifter (Joaquin Phoenix) as his right-hand man. But as the faith begins to gain a fervent following, the onetime vagabond finds himself questioning the belief system he has embraced, and his mentor.
"The Master" co-stars Amy Adams and is set to appear at the Venice Film Festival and the Toronto Film Festival before hitting theaters on September 14th, in limited release.

What an amazing actor Joaquin Phoenix is, I'm so looking forwar for this movie. Just the shots of him not saying anything, only staring at something, express a lot more that a loud outburst in a performance.
