Dolph Lundgren Wants Channing Tatum or Chris Hemsworth in "He-Man" RebootPosted: August 17th, 2012 by WorstPreviews.com Staff
|
It was recently announced that Jon M Chu (GI Joe 2, Justin Bieber: Never Say Never) will be helming Sony's reboot of "Masters of the Universe," which starred Dolph Lundgren as He-Man back in 1987.
Lundgren already said that he would like to play King Randor, He-Man's father and ruler of Eternia, in the reboot. And now, in an interview with Huffington Post, he said that he would like to see either Channing Tatum (Magic Mike) or Chris Hemsworth (Thor) cast as He-Man.
"You need somebody who's well built and charming. And he can deliver a couple of lines of dialogue," he said. "Channing Tatum? He's got a naturally athletic body. You need real muscles, you need somebody who is built."
When asked if Chris Hemsworth would be right for the role, Lundgren replied: "Yeah! That's a good idea. I'm on board."

They originally asked Daniel Craig to play Thor, he said "I can't be Bond and Thor, but thanks anyway." Chris shouldn't be Thor and He-Man. IMO

This might be a stretch but why not beef up Alexander Skarsgard from True Blood and cast him as He-man. He's already got the whole Viking thing down, he's a good 6'4", and the guy can act.

When asked if Chris Hemsworth would be right for the role, Lundgren replied: "Yeah! That's a good idea. I'm on board." Then, Lundgren pulled his ear necklace out of his shirt and said: "Come closer, I have a secret to share with you."
