Paramount Pictures has unveiled the official trailer for "Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters," starring Jeremy Renner, Gemma Arterton, Famke Janssen, Peter Stormare and Derek Mears. Check it out below.
The new movie is an original take on the fairytale and is set fifteen years after the siblings killed the witch who kidnapped them. Hansel and Gretel have now evolved into bounty hunters who pursue witches.
The new movie is directed by Tommy Wirkola (Dead Snow) and has been recently pushed back by almost a year to January 11th, 2013. It will be released in both conventional and 3D theaters.

Uh huh. Original. Just like that old anime with witch hunters. But throw in No Chin Trollman Renner, with a gun, and you have what Hollywood calls 'originality'.

It'll do a bit better worldwide though.
Still with what looks like at least $80 mil. Budget plus the same amount on marketing - floppidy-flop.
Also, to whom it may concern (not you, FBI): I'd do things to Gemma that'd get me incarcerated in every part of the world save Central Africa and Southeast Asia.

Didn't they do this already with Matt Damon and Heath Ledger? The Brothers Grimm? Oh and Renner, love ya and all but you sort of peaked at The Town. And that wasn't even so great.
