Bravo has announced that it's developing a new TV series based on the 1980s "Heathers" movie, which starred Winona Ryder and Christian Slater. The series will be produced by Jenny Bicks ("The Big C," "Sex and the City").
The story will pick up twenty years later, with Veronica (Ryder's character) returning home to Sherwood with her teenage daughter, who must contend with the next generation of mean girls -- the Ashleys, who are the daughters of the surviving Heathers.
Back in 2009, Ryder confirmed that a "Heathers" sequel was in the works and that she, along with Slater, were returning. It's possible that the sequel was scrapped in favor of a TV series.

Oh. The original was a movie. Thought it was a very early vehicle for Ryder and Slater, for some reason. Still don't care. Never saw the *movie*, never will.
