Along with searching the web, you can now use Google to play "Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon" and figure out the "Bacon Number" for any celebrity. Simply type "bacon number" and the celebrity's name in the search and find out the separation between the two people.
The original idea was thought up by three students at Pennsylvania's Albright College in 1994. They believe that all of Hollywood is connected to Bacon in no more than six associations.
Try it yourself, and besides wasting half the day, you'll learn that most actors are connected to Bacon in a lot less than six associations. In fact, I couldn't find an actors who wasn't separated from Bacon by more than two people. Bill O'Reilly, however, was separated by three people.
