Poster for "RoboCop" RebootPosted: September 16th, 2012 by WorstPreviews.com Staff
|
Thanks to Cine1, we now have a new teaser poster for the upcoming "RoboCop" reboot. According to the set photos of Joel Kinnaman (pictured) that we got a look at yesterday, the poster is a shot of RoboCop's suit. Check it out below.
Plot: The year is 2028 and multinational conglomerate OmniCorp is at the center of robot technology. Their drones are winning American wars around the globe and now they want to bring this technology to the home front. Alex Murphy (Kinnaman) is a loving husband, father and good cop doing his best to stem the tide of crime and corruption in Detroit. After he is critically injured in the line of duty, OmniCorp utilizes their remarkable science of robotics to save Alex's life. He returns to the streets of his beloved city with amazing new abilities, but with issues a regular man has never had to face before.
The new movie is directed by Jose Padilha (Elite Squad) and co-stars Gary Oldman, Michael Keaton, Samuel L. Jackson, Abbie Cornish, Jackie Earle Haley, and Jay Baruchel. It's set to hit theaters on August 9th, 2013.

So hes going to be black and red and i'm guessing that spot on the poster is where his gun is holstered.
"critically injured"=more man than machine
Ya know they couldv remade 'Mom' with Betty White,Steve Carell and Michael Keaton as the guy the monster.
See how easy that was?

Cast looks good on paper, But i'm sure so did that black suit too.
Total Recall set the bar low for a Paul Verhoeven remake, Really not sure this is going to be any better.

I kinda like the bodysuit, but the helmet is awful. I just know they are going to ruin it by putting in too much, over the top, CGI. He's ROBOCOP, not a f*cking Transformer!

"We've got the future under control"
You don't even have this movie under control.
And I like how the chromium lettering, which says "ROBOCOP", looks like it was added in Photoshop and not 3D rendered in situ, as the 'P' doesn't really follow the contour of the suit.
