Marvel Confirms Plans for ThanosPosted: September 21st, 2012 by WorstPreviews.com Staff
|
Earlier this month, Jim Starlin, the comic book writer who created the villainous Thanos, revealed that Marvel is planning to make the character the centerpiece of "Guardians of the Galaxy" and then use him in "The Avengers" sequel.
MTV has now caught up with Marvel head Kevin Feige for a confirmation. "Clearly, there's a purpose to us putting him in the end of ['The Avengers']," he hinted. "We do have plans for him. I wouldn't say we ever feel the need to rush anything one way or the other."
Feige was then asked if Damion Poitier, who played Thanos in the post-credits scene in "The Avengers," will be recast. "I think we feel pretty free to recast," he explained. "That was cast for literally that one shot. Depending on what the role requires from future movies, we'll go from there."

I thought Guardians of the Galaxy was gonna have a more comedic tone and be set in another Universe to the Avengers? I don't know why its harder to accept talking squirrels with machine guns than Norse Gods with dodgy english accents but it is.
Thanos is gonna be a good villain in Avengers 2 if they get it right and have the final boss fight as a full on mental fight!
I watched Avengers for the second time the other day and it definitely wasn't as good as I remembered. Still a good film but the way Loki just stops is weak and the cliched nuke in the enemies vagina WOOO!
2nd film needs to be Thanos vs everyone. Spider Man swings in the last 10 minutes unadvertised, Sony strike secret deal with Marvel to include him. Scarlett Johanson has lesbian sex scene with that other fit bird who works for shield. Rabid comes so hard his penis falls off and he dies in the cinema.

"nuke in the enemy's vagina?" lol, what an awesome new name for a classic movie trope.
Seriously though, so Thanos will likely be entirely CGI, which just looks stupid, I don't care what anyone says, CGI STILL looks fake.
