Today we have the official trailer for the upcoming "Winnie" film, based on the story of Winnie Mandela (Jennifer Hudson), Nelson Mandela's (Terrence Howard) former wife. Check out the trailer below.
Plot: While Nelson Mandela is a universally sympathetic figure for his struggle against apartheid, his former wife is a far more complicated figure. She has been depicted as the mother and wife who was a steadfast supporter of her activist husband and who was jailed herself for campaigning for his release and fighting against apartheid. Her image was subsequently tarnished by association with a bodyguard who murdered a 14-year old alleged informer, and she was later convicted of fraud.
The new movie is directed by Darrell Roodt (Prey) and has already appeared at last year's Toronto Film Festival. It has yet to get a US release date, but will hit theaters in Canada on October 5th.

That's because no one cared about Robert Downey Jr before 2008. And Jeff Bridges didn't get his oscar until the following year.

I wonder if we'll see the scenes wherein Michelle Obama dumps on Oprah in the Yellow Oval Room after 'Winnie' waits outside the White House gates in a rented limo like a f*cking 'commoner'.
Hell hath no fury like a black bitch.

@Future - pretty sure bane's question was rhetorical and sarcastic. We all know why and of Bridges win. Nice miss though.
