"Family Guy" Creator Making First Live-Action TV ShowPosted: September 22nd, 2012 by WorstPreviews.com Staff
|
At one point, Seth MacFarlane approached 20th Century Fox (the home of his "Family Guy," "American Dad" and "Cleveland Show") to finance his "Ted" movie. The studio turned him down, but Universal Pictures quickly stepped in. The film went on to gross $408 million on a $50 million budget.
Fox won't let that mistake happen again, which is why the network has ordered a pilot episode for MacFarlane's first live-action TV show, a comedy that revolves around two successful guys in their 30s and the insanity that ensues after their crazy fathers unexpectedly move in with them.
The show will be written by Alec Sulkin and Wellesley Wild (Ted, "Family Guy," "Cleveland Show"), while MacFarlane is on board to executive produce. The only way Fox was able to get the rights to the show was to agree to pay MacFarlane a hefty sum of money if they don't like the pilot and pass on it.

"The guy solves the case every friggin show but the cops always think hes full of sh*t"
Doyle started that sh*t with Sherlock, wherein the Great Detective was always catching flack from Scotland Yard and Metro, even though they never solved a case themselves.
This entire show sounds like sh*t, and I'm going to start predicting just when exactly Seth will hit saturation, because he has three f*cking cartoon shows, none of which is funny, and a nascent movie franchise, which was somewhat enjoyable for the novelty of brash, vulgar but lovable CG stuffed teddy bear, but I doubt the concept will carry over into more films without getting stale quick.

Anything Seth Mcfarlene does turns into a comedy galore. he knows how to write funny, original jokes with interesting ,loveable characters, and in a way there are morals deep in his stories under his hilarious jokes. we saw what he can do with film....TED . now I wanna what he can do what a live action sitcom, somebody say future classic show?
