Marc Webb and Andrew Garfield Confirmed for "The Amazing Spider-Man" SequelPosted: September 29th, 2012 by WorstPreviews.com Staff
|
Back in July, it was reported that Marc Webb may not be able to return for Sony's "The Amazing Spider-Man" sequel, because he signed an agreement to direct another movie for Fox Searchlight when he was making "500 Days of Summer." Fox was willing to let Webb make "The Amazing Spider-Man 2," but only if commits to directing the next two films for the studio.
Now comes word that the entire issue has somehow been worked out, because Sony Pictures has confirmed that both Webb and Andrew Garfield will return for the sequel, which will begin shooting early next year for a May 2nd, 2014 release.
"We could not be more confident in the direction we are taking this new Spider-Man storyline and we are tremendously excited to be ramping up production again with Marc at the helm and Andrew continuing on as Peter Parker," said Sony. "We can't wait to share what we have in store for Peter and Spider-Man with audiences worldwide."

lol, gotta hand it to fox's neg tactics. Can't believe this hipster douche Webb is getting a chance to crap on spidey some more though. Dollars to donuts says Webb puts some Death Cab for Cutie on the sequel's ORT, or are they not indie enough anymore?

Webb can't direct action. Things Raimi did with cameras - both practical and digital - were innovative, had energy to them and looked great.
Webb brought some fantastic four bullsh*t to the table.
The cast was ok, but they weren't given any favors by the script.
