"Paranormal Activity 4" grossed $30 million this weekend, which was enough to take first place at the domestic box office, but less than the past two films in the franchise. Overseas, "Paranormal Activity 4" took in another $26.5 million, the best foreign debut for any installment in the horror series.
Worldwide, the fourth film grossed over $56 million, already becoming profitable since it cost only $5 million to make. Unfortunately, "Paranormal Activity 4" has a 28% fresh rating on RottenTomatoes, making it by far the worst-reviewed film in the franchise.
The other new release was "Alex Cross," a prequel to "Kiss the Girls" and "Along Came a Spider," starring Tyler Perry. The $35 million film ended up in fifth place with $11.8 million, which may be enough to make a profit. But it had the worst opening out of the three films, and is the worst-reviewed with 13% on RottenTomatoes.
Meanwhile, "Taken 2" surpassed the $100 million mark domestically. It has now grossed $280 million worldwide. Ben Affleck's "Argo" earned $16.6 million in its second weekend, falling only 15% from the previous weekend, which is a new record for a non-holiday, live-action film.

i actually really badly want to see Alex Cross! i loved that f*cking series with Morgan freemen, i have high hopes for this even with the sh*tty reviews...
and I watched the Toronto Premier of PA4, wasn't that bad lol, but wasn't that good either..

Yes I've seen both of those movies. lol And i never said i DIDN'T want to watch those movies, i simply said i hadn't gotten around to it yet, I'll watch robocop soon enough. as for Machete, i just don't think I'll like it, it doesn't look appealing enough for me to go out and buy, Is that a crime? lol
