Carrie Fisher Confirms Return for "Star Wars: Episode 7"Posted: November 17th, 2012 by WorstPreviews.com Staff
|
Soon after "Star Wars: Episode 7" was announced, there were rumors that the script contains parts for Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher and Harrison Ford. Now, during a book signing, Fisher revealed that she's already on board. "Yes, I thought it was already common knowledge," she said.
We have yet to hear any confirmation from Hamill and Ford, but they both previously said that they would love to reprise their roles. Meanwhile, TMZ caught up with Billy Dee Williams and asked him if he would like to return as well. "I suppose so," he replied.
And actors who were never part of the "Star Wars" franchise are already expressing their interest in joining the cast. Robert Pattinson wants in, and so do Tom Hiddleston (The Avengers) and David Tennant ("Doctor Who"). Hiddleston worked with Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy on "War Horse," while Tennant voiced a character in the "Clone Wars" TV series.

lol Ranger that flab-scarf looks photoshopped on! But i'm sure it isn't
Like I said before, Lynn Collins from John Carter or Amy Adams would make a good Princess Leia in this new trilogy. Star Wars nerds need to get over this idea that no one else can ever play these characters.
It's Carrie Fisher's own fault that she sh*t on what would have been a long and fruitful acting career because she chose excessive substance abuse instead.
At least Mark Hamill had the wherewithal to realize he's a very talented voice actor and has since gone on to do a metric sh*t-ton of voice work.
But again, if this new trilogy takes place a decade after ROTJ, that means the original actors are too f*cking old. Don't throw Carrie Fisher even the tiniest f*cking bone to sadly try and relive some former glory as the only character she will ever be known for.
f*ck that.

Screw that crap!
Deft - you make a great point. Star Wars fans need to get over the fact unless we want this new trilogy to be just like the butt load of crappy clone war prequels. Gosh- soooo bad.
Recast already! Recast already!

Actually this year she actually lost a TON of weight. I think she had some plastic surgery done as well cuz her face looks a bit different. But now she at least looks somewhat normal for a woman her age. With enough make up work done she could pull off a early 50's Leia. Same for hammil. Hammil could proly pass for late 40's after makeup. Ford looked mid 50's in last Indy movie so I'd Say it's not a stretch for him either especially considering his character was already 15 years older than the others anyway. So call me an optimist but this could work. As far as bringing youth in there is ample opportunity. Luke's Jedi academy students. Young up and comers in the rebel military. Kids of the main characters. I'm excited

But what about the villain? The Emperor is dead, Dart Vader is dead. Star Wars needs a great villain to work.
