Watch this and look at how Cyclops is gunna look like a piece of shit in this movie. His role was reduced in X-Men 1, he was neglected in X-Men 2, and was killed off quickly (and offscreen may I add) in X-Men 3, and a bad actor is portraying him in Wolverine. |

| kudanrt: I liked the movie, if i look past the changes in the story. Oh! And whats up with the cheesy effects? Did anybody notice that sometimes wolverine's claws looked fake? Compared to the x-men movies. Jeez... And also the part where professor X is in the chopper.. Man it looks like they digitaly added him.. Lol. Sometimes i thought we were watchin the "leaked" version. And my version was with the dead pool scene. All and all i liked it. I finished all my popcorn without noticing so yea lol it was good. :) lookin forward to part 2. I recommend you see it at the movies unstead of waitin for the dvd, unless you get the blu-ray version! Ooo.. 1080p with all secret endings! Lol All right bub... Thats all i got. |

| Jeds: Dear Fox Executives: put that Magneto script down now. And that Deadpool one. Back - the - fuck - away.
I'm disappointed. Not that the film was bad per se - they just had their big chance to create a really fantastic, mind-blowing origin story right up there with Batman Begins and they blew it.
I can't fault Hugh Jackman. He's awesome, no one else could play Wolverine as well. His raw physicality servers the character fully. But he was also Executive Producer on this film so should take part of the blame for delivering what, for the most part, is a yawn fest.
If you're going to tell an origin story, don't just string action scenes together and hope they stick. Don't take the biggest moment of Wolverine's story - the implantation of Adamantium - and make it because he's all mopey over lost love. And you don't, don't, DON'T cast Ryan Reynolds as Wade Wilson/Deadpool and use him for a grand total of only five minutes.
In X2, Colonel Stryker at one point tells Wolverine how their history is littered with nasty, terrible stuff they did together. You get a glimpse that in his previous life, before he lost his memory, that Logan was not a nice fellow. Instead they give that trait to Sabretooth. (Liev Schrieber is awesome by the way and deserves credit for obviously enjoying his role.) It is disappointing that they resort to the same old same old of story telling - the good guy standing up for the innocent, walking away from the bad deeds, but being dragged back in for a desire for revenge.
They had a big opportunity to create something huge, go beyond what has already been done and deliver something that would be remembered in awe by fans (much like The Dark Knight). Instead they give us a bland revenge-driven action film - and don't even give us the revenge. Disappointing. |
Not as bad as Hulk, but... May 5th, 2009 [2:28:42] | | 3/10 |
| Nimzabaat: This is the weakest Xmen movie so far, and almost the weakest movie to be made from a Marvel comic. I'm really wishing that Marvel would buy back the Xmen rights and do something good with them. They completely change Wolverine's character to being some kind of good guy bystanding while bad guys do bad things kinda deal. Removing all complexity from the story line. They add in other Marvel characters just to screw things up (I like Gambit too, but he has nothing to do with this story!). And in the end none of the movie makes sense. So Wolverine gets three holes put in his head that magically dissappear and magically alter Sabertooth's memory (and I guess everyone else's in the entire Marvel Universe)... I am so glad i didn't have to pay for this. Honestly if someone had leaked "Watchmen" with Billy Crudup in the mocap suit, I still would have gone to the theatre because that movie was awesome. How about we start a petition for Marvel to buy back Xmen, and for Fox to stop even trying to make movies? |

| MiniMe8188: Good Film, could have been better in my view, Acting was a bit stale and the VFX could have been touched up. Other than that it was a pretty good flick. |

| weezy208: this was the worst comic book movie ever made. it makes the hulk look like the godfather, it was that bad. there was only one good scene in the entire movie. the movie was chessy and was a total cliche. they added all these characters and none of them had a proper introduction, I still don't know what some of there powers are. this movie sucked on so many levels |
