mancabroad: I did not know what I was expecting, Scott, Crowe, Gladiator. I liked the new take on the film, i.e. after Richard's death and the new spin on who Robin Hood was. Unfortunately, I kept being drawn to R.C's accent slipping from some kind of old northern English, to a mild southern Irish accent.
French invasion, wooden landing craft. Not for me.

Rambo: then watch this movie.why?because almost nothing happens in it until it's last act which lasts 20 minutes or so.in other words you get 2 hours of robin hood walking around talking to random people and thats about it.This is truly sad,because with the millions of dollars they invested in this movie they could have made 2 great original movies that would have been far more interesting then this one.This is easily one of Ridley Scott's worst movies ever and it's a shame he didn't have the balls to go with the original idea of 'nottingham' which would have been much more interesting then this.However,I do have very positive things to say about the last 20 minutes of this film.A great battle scene which is very well shot.too bad we had to wait 2 hours to get there.
4/10 please no more robin hood movies in the next 100 years or so. |
