I want my money back! June 15th, 2008 [12:56:15] | | 2/10 |
| solidkryptonite: This movie was pure garbage! M. Night Shyamalan wasn't even trying! I love Mark Wahlberg and Zooey Deschanel, but they didn't seem to be putting their best efforts into this either. Bad writing and acting made for a very bad movie. After The Village and Lady In The Water, The Happening has sealed the fate of Shymalan for me: I will never pay money to see another movie that Shymalan wrote, I will still give him a chance at directing. |
What a horrible rip-off!!!!!! June 17th, 2008 [1:17:32] | | 0/10 |
| swallownrim: Shyamalan has succeeded in creating another dumb, go nowhere film. He's wasted my time and my money, and I will never see anything he does again. He's very successful at creating hype and intriguing trailers, but this film is empty, extremely poorly acted, contrived, redundant, b movie, that only confirms what a hack he is. His storytelling is arrogant, and the film "insists upon itself." I realize he is veering heavily from the "typical" Hollywood formula, I will give him that much. But at what expense? This story will just piss you off. After reading reviews like mine you will have a strong urge to see this film in the theater just so you can see what the hype is about. Trust me when I urge you to resist and rather to save your money, or spend it to see "You Don't Mess With The Zohan" instead. You'll get almost as many laughs, but the difference is that "Zohan" is aiming for laughs. You've been warned! |
it's not that bad critics! June 17th, 2008 [10:24:27] | | 9/10 |
| froman: alright crtics,I will admit that this movie does have some cheep acting and lines, but beside the point, this movie was oddly....well great,I usually agree with the critics but jeez guy, this movie had a truly great plot and I didnt get scared of the movie until you think about it.I mean if evrey body started to kill themselves in the most gruesome ways.....it would be scary...but,[spoiler ahead] but maybe would we should be a little nicer to the trees.MAN! those hippes where right. |
Swing and a Total Miss February 16th, 2009 [6:31:50] | | 1/10 |
| NumberNine: Very disappointing if you're a Shyamalan fan.
This ripoff, I mean, remake of Hitchcock's 'The Birds' falls short of all his previous movies and the entire genre itself!
Long boring scenes interlaced with the standard chase themes. Lackluster ending but by that time you're just happy that its over.
MNS seemed to phone this one in and no one believes the BS about his intentions to make a 'B' movie. That's easy to say after when the bad reviews start coming in. |

| Rocksteddy: "Hello, my name is Elliott Moore, just want to talk in a very positive manner. Giving off good vibes. We're just here to use the bathroom then we're just gonna leave. I hope that's okay.
.....PLASTIC. I'M TALKING TO A PLASTIC PLANT."
Great staple in cinema, just brilliant.
